Medical

Simtech offers a competitive health insurance plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield AL (BCBS) that is both, affordable and broad in coverage. This allows our employees to worry less about medical expenses and focus more on family and wellness.

Life and Long Term Disability

We take pride in being able to provide company paid long term disability; as well as insurance through Guardian.

Retirement Plan

SimTech only wants the best for our employees. That is why we offer immediate vesting into our 401k plan through Vanguard. Our 401k package offers excellent options such as, profit-sharing accounts for all of our employees.

Dependent Care Accounts

The dependent care account option allows an employee to set aside a dollar amount of their choosing, from EACH paycheck to be put into this account. The pre-taxed funds can then be used on expenses such as, daycare and summer camps.

Jury Duty

SimTech allows each employee to fulfill their jury duty requirements without penalty. This means that an employee will be paid his/her regular wages while performing their civic duty.

Holidays

SimTech has eleven paid holidays per year: Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and taking off Christmas Eve through the day after New Year’s Day.

Dental

We provide company paid dental insurance through MetLife, this also includes pediatric orthodontics.

Supplemental Insurance

Our AFLAC representative is also available for extra coverage needs such as, short term disability, cancer, accident, and hospital.

Cafeteria Plan

SimTech has put a cafeteria plan in place so that employees will only be paying health insurance premiums BEFORE taxes. This increases an employee’s net pay as well as saving the employee a percentage of tax liability.

Comp Time

We offer comp time accrual for professional and administrative exempt employees. Comp time is accrued up to 40 hours.

Military Leave

SimTech offers paid military leave for up to 80 hours in a fiscal year.

Bonuses

We know that our employees work hard and need to be rewarded for their accomplishments. Performance bonuses are given out each year and we also reward our employees with spot bonuses throughout the year to show our appreciation.

Training and Education

SimTech allows for full-time employees to be reimbursed for undergraduate classes where a C or better is achieved. If an employee is taking post-graduate classes they must make a B or better, to be reimbursed. Co-op and part-time employees will receive reimbursement for two classes per year. SimTech also reimburses employees for training, professional education, and other career advancement opportunities.

Through MetLife, we provide vision insurance at a very low cost to our employees.

Life Insurance (Optional)

Extra life insurance coverage through MetLife is available to our employees and their dependents.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

The FSA option allows an employee to set aside a dollar amount of their choosing to be deposited into the flexible spending account at the beginning of the year.

This account will be available for the entire year. Up to $500 dollars can be rolled over into the next year. The pre-taxed funds can then be used on medical expenses such as, co-pays and prescriptions.

Paid Time off (PTO)

Each employee starts with 2 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of personal leave per year.

Flexibility

We understand that our employees have needs outside of the office that need to be addressed. For that reason, SimTech allows for flexibility with hours and schedules to alleviate extra stress and to allow our employees to take care of themselves and their families.

Awards

We present awards to employees for 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of experience. We also provide recognition to our employees for their dedication and accomplishments.
